Hi, I’m James.
I created this website to hire caregivers to help me at home, work, and in the community.
I’m a nutrition professor living in the vibrant Old Town neighborhood of Fort Collins, just north of Colorado State University. Life has brought me many adventures, and in 1999, I sustained a C5 spinal cord injury during an adventure race. This experience has shaped my journey in unique ways, and while it has brought challenges, it has also deepened my appreciation for meaningful connections and the importance of living life fully.
Professionally, I’m dedicated to my work as a professor and health coach. I’m passionate about helping others achieve their health goals, and I find joy in learning, exploring, and sharing knowledge. Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, enjoying meals together, exploring Old Town, and diving into music, books, and discussions about science, health, culture, and art.
Maintaining my independence is important to me, but I recognize that I need support to ensure that I can live comfortably and continue to pursue my passions. I’m looking for someone who can be more than just a caregiver—someone who can become a trusted companion and close partner in my day-to-day life. Together, we’ll create a supportive, collaborative environment where we both thrive.
If you’re someone who enjoys engaging in meaningful conversations, exploring new experiences, and forming a deep connection, I would love to connect with you. This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to become a significant part of my life and help me continue living it to the fullest.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me, and I look forward to hearing from you.
