Hi, I’m James.
I’m a nutrition professor at Colorado State University and I've lived with a C5 spinal cord injury since 1999. I live independently in Old Town Fort Collins with the help of a small care team, and I'm looking to add one or two people to that team.
I manage that team, scheduling, inventory, and more, but I don't work here. I never applied for this job, but I haven't missed a shift. It's just part of my life. The more my team can run independently, the more I can focus on the rest of it.
I created this website to connect with caregivers who can support me at home, at work, and in the community. If you're looking for something more personal than agency shift work, and you want to know what this role actually looks like before you apply, you're in the right place.
I care about good food, music, meaningful conversation, and helping people grow. I'm quiet, respectful, and genuinely invested in the people who work with me. The people who do well here aren't just skilled. They're people I enjoy being around, and who enjoy being around me.
Visit Help James to learn more about the role and what I'm looking for, or check out A Day in the Life to see what a typical day actually involves. When you're ready, you can apply directly.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
