Integrative Care Companion

Long-Term Position — Old Town, Fort Collins, CO

I’m seeking a dedicated, full-time caregiver and trusted companion to join me on this journey. This role goes beyond typical caregiving—it’s about forming a meaningful partnership supporting my independence and quality of life while allowing us to share in life’s joys and challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.

  • Manage medical tasks and monitor health conditions.

  • Support meal preparation, feeding, and housekeeping to ensure a clean and organized home.

  • Drive my wheelchair-accessible vehicle and assist with community outings, appointments, and other activities.

  • Engage in recreational activities, such as attending live music events, exploring arts and culture, and traveling.

  • Provide companionship and emotional support, and engage in meaningful discussions on various topics.

  • Help maintain a positive, supportive environment where both of us can thrive.

About You/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.

  • Responsible, reliable, and genuinely interested in forming a meaningful connection with the person you support.

  • Degree or relevant hands-on care experience in healthcare, recreational therapy, OT, PT, or similar fields, and capable of managing care for an individual with a spinal cord injury at home and away from home.

  • Willingness to learn and grow in this role.

  • You enjoy arts and culture and are a good conversationalist, ready to become a trusted companion and key support figure in my life.

  • You are flexible, calm under pressure, and committed to creating a supportive environment.

  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

  • Able to pass a complete drug screen and background check per local law/regulations.
